CHARLIE & IVY'S + GRAND GET-TOGETHERS

One of our favourite things about the community we are part of is having the opportunity to collaborate with fellow artisan businesses. Last month we were spoilt to use the recently launched Bogg Hall Barn, one of 4 luxury properties owned by fellow Yorkshire business Grand Get-Togethers.

Having taken part in their first Artisan Christmas Fair last year, we were blown away by the property, and couldn’t wait to come together to show it off.

Perfectly located between the market town of Malton and the stunning Yorkshire coastline, Grand Get-Togethers boast a collection of luxury properties. Perfect for large parties, their properties can accommodate from 12 – 22 guests, depending on which you’re lucky enough to book.

Our day was spent at their largest and most recently developed property, Bogg Hall Barn. Sleeping up to 22 this really is the ultimate party house! A real artisan creation, the properties walls are adorned with murals and work from local artists, recycled and reclaimed furniture is enjoyed throughout the barns. It’s the ultimate showcase of local artisans and luxury. This once derelict range of chalk and brick barns would now be completely unrecognisable to any previous owners.

Grand Get-Togethers is owned and run by Molly and her mum. Four generations of their family have farmed the land in the surrounding area with three of the properties are within walking distance from the farm. Like us, they’re a business with farming and the countryside at their heart.

Whilst at the Barn we filmed 4 new Summer recipes to share with you as the weather warms up, enjoyed some lunchtime grazing with friends, dipping oil and enjoying a sneaky glass of fizz. Then onto the evening we used the garden room to host a Summer banquet with some more friends that joining us to lend a helping hand!

As collaborating with local businesses seemingly set the theme for the day, we were also delighted to work with another local creative, Jo Purdy of Hearts and Flowers. Jo created some amazing displays for us to use on our shoot, with collections of vintage glassware grouped together, each containing colourful posies, serving as stunning centerpieces.

We had an amazing day in this fabulously thought-out venue and are seriously envious of those who have the opportunity to stay. Who knows, you may spot a bottle of Charlie & Ivy’s there when you go to stay!
