Urgent Allergens Advice

Date posted : 27 September 2024

As you may have seen in the news recently there has been a batch of mustard powder identified as having a possible contamination of peanut protein.

We regret to inform you that we have been notified by our ingredients supplier that a batch of mustard powder we purchased has been affected. Since we use this mustard powder in our mayonnaise production, several batches of our mayonnaise products are impacted as a result.

Following extensive testing we cannot guarantee that certain mayonnaise products are peanut free.

To keep you safe, you will see peanut warnings on any products affected by this issue until we are confident that there is no risk to allergy sufferers.

This has been a well-documented issue, and in addition to the actions we are taking, the Food Standards Agency is also publicising the wide range of products that are affected. This means that customers with peanut allergies should also currently have heightened awareness. That said, we need to do everything we can to make sure no individual is affected by this.

More information from the Food Standards Agency can be found here.

If you are a peanut allergy sufferer and have any of our products, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us and we can talk through additional steps. Our team can be reached on 01759 361550.

Thank you in advance for your support and co-operation in this matter.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to you, but as a food producer we take food safety extremely seriously.
