Our guide to surviving Winter
Winter is a magical season, but once the hustle and bustle of the festive period has passed, the long nights and short days can sometimes begin to drag, and we find ourselves often dreaming of the seasons to come. So, we've put together our guide for surviving it, getting through the next few months by making the most of the season.
Get outside as often as possible
Sunlight hours are at a minimum at this time of year, so we try and get out and soak up those winter rays as often as possible. Vitamin D is proven to enhance your mood, and exercise releases those endorphins! Whether a city or country dweller, there’s thousands of miles of footpaths, cycle routes and (our favourite) beaches to hit this winter.
Check out the National Trail’s website for a bit of inspiration for walkers of all abilities
Spend it with people you love
Winter is a time for a full diary, the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends and family, inspired by all the festive meet ups! For us though, it’s more of a low-key affair than our December activities. More about who you’re with, rather than how fancy your party can be. One pot dinners, a good bottle of wine, great friends and even better conversation. Making the most of the cosy nights and the opportunity to serve pudding with custard!

Fill yourself with deliciousness
The media is ringing with the sound of healthy eating, especially in the new year, but who says that this has to be bland and boring! We’re mad about flavour and the simplicity of drizzling something delicious in to pimp up a dish is just irresistible. The other bonus is that all our products are made with our own cold pressed British Rapeseed Oil, which is one of the healthiest oils you can get your hands on. Only half the saturated fat of olive oil and filled with all round natural goodness, it goes into every single product we make.
Try drizzling in one of our bread dippers, they’re packed with flavour!

Embrace hibernation mode
Embrace hibernation mode
As the saying goes, if you can’t beat them, join them! Light the fire, light some candles and grab a blanket or two. Make a cuppa, find a spot to chill and take the time to slow down and read a good book. More of a playlist kind of person? Head over to Spotify, there’s a whole host of fantastically chilled out playlists to help your hibernation.
